To the One Who Holds My Heart

My dearest,


Who would have thought? From simply greeting you as a friend (Smart. Simply Amazing! Do you remember?) way back in 2014, here we are in our ninth year celebrating your special day together. God sure has plans. I never thought my kabiruan back then, someone who is not my "ideal" type, would become a person so dear and special to me. 


You may not be perfect. You're (at times) cranky and hard to read. You're stubborn. You're crazy and weird. People who don't know you might think you're just always fooling around, that you're arrogant, or that you're not serious at all.


But behind all those jokes and kakulitan, you have a big heart. You're kind. You're thoughtful. You're sweet (sometimes. Haha.). You're understanding. You're hardworking. You're passionate about work. You're always willing to help others. You love your family the most.


All the things that define you make you unique and one of a kind. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to me, to your family, and to others. Thank you for the everyday laughter and craziness. Thank you for making life much more fun. Thank you for always supporting me—at work, in life, and in the things I like. Thank you for simply being there—being you.


Nine years have passed, and we are still here. I hope you won't get tired of spending it with me because I'll always be here greeting and loving you each year until we both grow old.


To my best friend, my guitar guy, my piggy baboy, my daddy piggy. To my always, happy birthday! I am thankful to God for giving me you. I love you, Dad.
